PURPOSE:To make it possible to positively deliver separately by one sheet at a time even in the case all kinds of paper sheets are mingled by providing a point to switchover a carrier path for the paper when it is in a simultaneous double sheet delivery condition. CONSTITUTION:The condition of the paper sheets in a double sheet delivery is detected by a detector 3 provided in a carrier path 10a. The detector 3 sends the information to a point 4. The function of the point 4 is to switchover the carrier path of the paper sheet thus received to either a carrier path 10b or a carrier path 10c, in this case to the carrier path 10c. The paper sheet thus delivered to the carrier path 10c is sent to a pile-up portion 5 provided under the carrier path 10c. A feed control portion, taking the point of time of the action of the point 4 as the basis, stops the actions of the first feeding portion 2 and the carrier path 10a until the paper sheet, which was sent to the pile-up portion 5, reaches a carrier path 10e after being delivered to a carrier path 10d by the second feeding portion 6. The paper sheet from the carrier path 10b and the paper sheet from the carrier path 10d are delivered separately one sheet at a time in succession at the carrier path 10e without being overlapped.
