PURPOSE:To obtain high reliability with respect to the titled sensor, by such a simple and strong structure that a ceramic heater comprising a metal pattern integrally sintered and embedded in a ceramic insulating body is arranged in the space enclosed by an oxygen detection element. CONSTITUTION:A green ceramic sheet 3 having a pattern applied thereto is arranged so as to be wound around a separately formed insulating green tube 5 having a terminal pattern 4 applied thereto prior to baking said green sheet 3. In this case, the pattern 2 is formed by applying a metal paste by a screen printing method. Thus prepared ceramic heater 1 is arranged in the space enclosed by an oxygen sensor. By this constitution, high reliability can be obtained by an extremely simple and strong structure. |
