PURPOSE:To prevent a large inertia moment from occurring in a tool magazine for shortening tool changing time by minimizing the movement of each member required for tool changing, and restraining the mass of each part of a moving division to a minimum. CONSTITUTION:Each holder gripping means 82 of a tool changing device is freely oscillatingly borne on plural pivotal shafts 84 provided radially around a magazine base 64, and its side pointing to a spindle head is formed with a cam follower 94, and its free end is provided with a forked part 83 which can grip a tool holder 48. A cam body 86 is provided on a side pointing to a tool magazine on the spindle head, and has a cam surface 86a which can abuttingly engage and leave the cam follower 94 correspondingly. An energizing means 92 is fixed to the holder gripping means 82 to constantly energize the means 82 toward the spindle head. The cam surface 86a energizes the cam follower 94 with a reciprocatory movement of the spindle head to cause the holder gripping means 82 to make oscillatory motion. |
