PURPOSE:To eliminate a low-melting material which would obstruct a good bonding effect from a bonding surface for improving bonding strength of insulating members, by providing each insulating member with grooves serving as passages for a coolant, filling the grooves with a molten low-melting material, cooling the material for solidifying it in the state as it has been applied and working the surface of the insulating member for removing the low-melting material flown out of the grooves. CONSTITUTION:Insulating members 6a, 6b and 6c are mounted between coils 1 and a rotator body 2 and between the coils 1 and a wedge 4. In the following, a method of working the insulating members is described taking an example of the insulating member 6b. A plurality of parallel grooves 7 are provided on one side of the insulating member 7b of an epoxy glass laminate for example by cutting the same. Then a molten low-melting material 9 is applied so as to fill the grooves 7 in the insulating member 6b and cooled naturally so that the low-melting material 9 is solidified in the state as it has been applied. Finally, the face of the insulating member 6b is cut up to the broken line X-X so as to remove the low-melting material 9 flown out of the grooves 7. The rectangular face of the insulating member 6b thus cut provides a bonding face 10 to be bonded on the parter component. |
