PURPOSE:To obtain an intraocular lens easy to bend and hardly injuring eye tissue, in the intraocular lens having an optical part constituted of a flowable liquid part and the outer shell part sealing said liquid part and a plurality of support parts holding said optical part, by providing a liquid sump part to a part of the outer shell part. CONSTITUTION:An intraocular lens consists of an optical part 1a and two support parts 2a, and a liquid part 3a is provided in the optical part 1a and, further, the liquid sump part 4a communicating with the liquid part 3a is provided; this liquid sump part 4a is positioned in the support part 2a. In the optical part 1a, the liquid part 3a composed of a liquid or gelled substance is sealed in the outer shell part 5a formed of an elastic substance. In the intraocular lens thus constituted, when the optical part 1a is pressed, said optical part 1a deforms by the movement of a part of the liquid part 3a to the liquid sump part 4a and the outer diameter thereof can be contracted. |
