PURPOSE:To increase the number of extraction of foamed sheet shapes by holding both end sections of the foamed sheet made of a thermoplastic resin, slowly pulling the sheet to the outside while making it travel in a heating furnace and expanding the sheet in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:Both end sections of the foamed sheet S manufactured by molding various thermoplastic resins, such as polystyrene, polyethylene, etc. to a continuous sheet shape of fixed width through extrusion foaming are held by clamping needles 10 protrusively fitted at both ends of a chain conveyor 1, and the foamed sheet S of a sheet winding section 2 is pulled out in succession, and made travel in the heating furnace 3 together with the conveyor 1. Width, needle space width, among the clamping needles 10, 10 at both ends of the chain conveyor 1 is set properly along the direction of traveling, the foamed sheet S is pulled slowly out to the outside, and the sheet is expanded in the width direction, thus obtaining the desired foamed sheet. |
