PURPOSE:To make gold lacquer hard to separate and at the same time make it possible to hold the luster and polish of the gold lacquer over a long period of time by a method wherein the gold lacquer is applied onto a ground coat layer provided on the surface of a plastic molded item and further a transparent coat layer is provided on the gold lacquer. CONSTITUTION:Gold lacquer is desired shape is applied on a ground coat layer provided on the surface of a plastic molded item and further a transparent coat layer is provided on the gold lacquer. As techniques for applying the coating for priming and the gold lacquer onto plastic, materials and techniques, which are conventionally and commonly used on decorated products such as lacquer objects of a craftwork and the like, can be used. Further, as the coating of the transparent coat layer, coating, which is transparent and excellent in water-vapor resistance, heat resistance, wear resistance, weathering properties and the like, is used. Especially preferable coating is urethane-based coating, acrylic urethane-based coating, transparent natural Japanese lacquer and the like.
