PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of a NC machine tool and to prevent maloperation in the NC machine tool, by storing an inputted interactive program to draw up a tool list, and reading the tool list with present mode action continued by a fixed input command to display it. CONSTITUTION:An interactive program SA input from an input device 1 is stored in an interactive program memory part 2. In the case where a tool list is selected during an automatic operation mode, it is confirmed whether an execution program has been drawn up in an interactive form or not, and in the case of the execution program SA drawn up in the interactive form, the interactive program memory part 2 calls the interactive program to draw up the tool list. A tool list display command SB issued by an operator and others causes a background mode conversion part 3 to output a background mode conversion command SC, and a tool list reading part 5 to read the tool list SF from the interactive program memory part 2, and a tool list output part 6 to display the list on a cathode-ray tube 7. In addition the tool list output part 6 prints out the list on a printer 8.
