PURPOSE:To improve the job retrieving efficiency and the secrecy protecting performance by gathering the system users into groups and defining the hierarchies of these groups. CONSTITUTION:The terminals 11-1n serve as the devices which display the executing states of jobs applied to a center computer and a user has a connecting request between those terminal and a job executing state display means 2. The means 2 informs a group name and a user name received from the user to a user access means 4 when the terminals are connected for request of confirmation whether both names are registered or not into a relevant user control operator file 3. The means 4 give an access to the file 3 to check whether the relevant user is registered or not and informs the result of this check to the means 2. When it is confirmed that the user is registered, the means 2 permits the connection of terminals and the same time stores the terminal identification name, group name of the user and the user name related to the relevant terminal into a terminal-based information area in a terminal control part 2a of the means 2.
