PURPOSE:To easily and accurately position an optical connector by forming a positioning projection, which has a pin guide hole having the same axial line as a pin hole in the center, on the side opposite to a joint surface to the optical connector. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 22 is so fixed that its end face is exposed on a joint surface 23 to the other optical connector, and a aligning pin hole 24 is formed perpendicularly to the joint surface 23 while keeping fixed position al relations to the optical fiber 22. A cylindrical positioning projection 25 which has a pin guide hole 24a having the same axial line as the pin hole 24 in the center is formed on the face opposite to the joint surface 23. Connector holders 31 and 35 are moved toward each other to fit positioning projections of optical connectors and positioning holes 32, 36, and 37 of connector holders to each other. Thus, optical connectors 21A-21C are accurately positioned in prescribed positions on the basis of pin holes 24. |
