<p>A spring-loaded safety valve (10) is provided with an integrated damping element (50). The damping effect is achieved by the dissipative action of a shearing current. Damping is immediate and playfree. The damper is particularly suited to the damping of high-frequency vibrations with small or minimal amplitudes. Viscous, non-liquid and similar fluids are suitable as damping fluid. Liquid fluids are also suitable. In this case, the damper can be provided with a protection against the escape of fluid. The damping device comprises, for example, a single-layer or multiple-layer virtually coaxial arrangement of pairs of tubes or active surfaces which can be moved telescopically with respect to one another.</p> |
