Commutator for an electric motor, and a reinforcing ring for it

A commutator for an electric motor and a reinforcing ring for it are produced in such a manner that the reinforcing ring has an inner supporting ring and outwardly directed projections by means of which an anchorage to the commutator laminates is produced. Such a reinforcing ring is easy to install and creates a high load capacity. It can furthermore be completed to form reinforcement which also surrounds an inner bush. If designed from insulating material, such an inner bush produces double insulation and allows a precise push fit for pushing onto a motor shaft to be specified.
