A process for regulating the speed of rotation of an alternating current electric motor between two extreme angular positions of the rotor is characterized in that, on commissioning, the theoretical member (N) of complete periods (T) of the alternating current (1) to be supplied to the motor to drive it over such an angular displacement is determined, this theoretical number (N) is stored, on the basis of the chronological position (X) of these periods (T) complete in their total theoretical number (N), a table of the variations in the power supply to the motor required to ensure a predetermined speed is drawn up, in service, the actual instantaneous number (N') of complete periods of the alternating current between one extreme position (EI) and the other extreme position (EF) is counted, on the basis of the chronological position (X) of the actual member (N"), the power supply to the motor is aligned on the value given in the table for the corresponding thereotical member.
