This invention is a grain handling system and consists of at least one grain flow passage (2) having an upstream intake end (3) and a downstream discharge end (4) so as to allow the grain to flow along the grain flow passage from the upstream intake and to the downstream discharge end. The valve assembly (10) is disposed in communication with the downstream discharge end. It is used for controlling the flow rate of the grain. Volumetric weighing means are used for receiving the grain delivered foward the valve assembly and be measuring the volumetric weight of the received grain under stationary conditions in order to generate a volumetric weight signal. The computor (120) generates a control signal, the drive means uses a pulse motor (54) operating the valve assembly in response to the signal.
