The watch comprises a dial (10), an hour hand (11), a minute hand (12), a bi-rotational stepping motor (14) connected to these hands through gears (13) a current source (16) and an electronic circuit for controlling the stepping motor. The circuit has means for storing a time-based item of information. The watch is equipped with means for displaying this time-based information. For this purpose, the motor which drives the hands is controlled in accelerated motion to bring the seconds hand (11) into a position corresponding to this time-based information in less than one revolution of the hand. The invention is suitable for use in conventional wrist watches with birotational stepping motor. |
