PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in thermal aging resistance and suitable for, e.g., a coating material for various wires and cables, by mixing an ethylene/halogenated ethylene copolymer with at least either a metal oxide or metal sulfide. CONSTITUTION:An ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer and an ethylene/ halogenated ethylene copolymer such as an ethylene/monochlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer are mixed with either a metal oxide or a metal sulfide to obtain the purpose thermal aging-resistant resin composition. Examples of said metal oxides include ZnO, Sb2O3, ZrO2 and SnO2, which those of said metal sulfides include ZnS, Al2S3 and Sb2S3. If desired, a sulfur-containing antioxidant, hindered phenolic antioxidant, a crosslinking aid, etc. can be added to the above composition. |
