PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a defective sliding of a shutter by providing a guide groove to be provided in a recessed part of a cassette case in the only direction of opening a long hole by a shutter from a notched part and providing also an engaging part to be provided on the shutter into a position to be always engaged with the guide groove when the shutter is slid away. CONSTITUTION:The titled floppy disk cassette is welded with upper and lower side halves 1C and 1D at a welding part F on the opposite surface to a projective line segment 7 provided around the notched part 4 as well as those welding parts at the four corners, so that the thickness of the recessed part can positively be prevented from being thicker than a space 6 of the shutter. Then, the guide groove 5A for guiding the engaging part 13A of the shutter 11A is provided in the only direction of opening the shutter A from the notched part 4, and then the shutter 11A is correspondingly provided with the engaging part 13A. Consequently, even if the thickness of the recessed part is made thinner than a specific size by welding, the shutter 11A is never deviated from the cassette case by this part. By this method, the occurrence of a defective sliding of the shutter 11A can hence be prevented.
