PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a delay in the feed of fuel, by a method wherein, in a device where a fuel injection valve is situated in a holder positioned in a suction pipe on the upper stream side of a throttle valve through a rib extending across the suction pipe, a fuel pressure accumulating chamber is formed in the holder, and a fuel feed and discharge passage connected to the fuel pressure accumulating chamber is formed in the rib. CONSTITUTION:A tubular rib 24 is disposed across a suction pipe 21, and a fuel injection valve 22 is contained in a tubular holder 23 integrally formed to the central part of the rib 24. A gap between the side of a fuel injection valve 22 and the inner surface of the holder 23 forms a fuel pressure accumulating chamber 26, and a cap 29 is mounted to the upper part of the holder 23. A fuel inlet and a fuel outlet, connected to the fuel pressure accumulating chamber 26 through a mesh 27, is formed in the lower part of the side of the fuel injection valve 22, and a passage 30 on the fuel feed side and a passage 31 on the fuel discharge side, situated in a level above that of the fuel outlet and inlet of the fuel injection valve 22 and connected to the fuel pressure accumulating chamber 26, are formed at the interior of the rib 24. The passage 31 on the fuel feed side is connected to a fuel pump, and the passage 31 on the discharge side is connected to the tank side through a pressure regulator 32.
