PURPOSE:To simplify the construction, smoothen the operation and enhance the working effectiveness by providing an opening as discharge port of a screw type foreign matter pressure sending machine at the suction port of a vertical pump used in a sewage treatment system. CONSTITUTION:Sewage containing waste flows into a primary water reverse tank 3 from a flow-in pipe 1, where the waste is received by a screen 5 and the rest shall stay in a secondary water reserve tank 4. Pump 6 is so constructed that the discharge port of a screw type foreign matter pressure sending machine 9 is opened at the suction port of the body 8 of a vertical volute pump. The foreign matter received by the screen 5 is crushed into specified sizes and carried onto a conveyor 12 to be cast into a hopper 9C. The foreign matter is discharged from the discharge port to the suction port 8B of the pump body 8 by the thrust force generated by a screw in a foreign matter pressure sending machine 9 and pumped up together with the sewage in a secondary water reverse tank 4, and is pressure forwarded to a final treatment yard via an water exhaust pipe 7. Constitution of a sewage treatment system in this manner will simplify the construction and provide continuous transport of foreign matters, which should accomplish enhancement of the working effectiveness.
