PURPOSE:To detect the locked condition of a motor while discriminating it from no load condition, by a method wherein voltage, impressed on a running capacitor, is on-off controlled to detect the current of a main winding upon controlling. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic controller 20 effects the on-off control of a capacitor electromagnetic switch 18 to effect the on-off control of a voltage, impressed on a capacitor, and reads the value of the current of the main winding of a main winding current meter 13 properly. The current of the main winding when the switch is turned off is obtained as a motor lock reference current value (Ix) and is compared with the current (I) of the main winding when the voltage is turned on. When I>=Ix is established, the single-phase induction motor is decided that it is in the motor lock condition. |
