PURPOSE:To enable an overwrite without necessitating an erase operation by judging the number of times of the overwrite on a sector, by means of reading a flag part, provided in the sector, existing on a magneto-optical recording medium, and switching a record data pulse into ON/OFF according to the said number of times. CONSTITUTION:By reading the flag part 301, provided in the sector, existing on the magneto-optical recording medium, the number of times of the overwrite on the sector is discriminated. Then, after discriminating whether the direction of the external impressing magnetic field and the clock of the record data should be delayed or not, according as this number of times is odd or even, a recording is executed so as to satisfy these conditions. Thus, by using only one optical pickup, and information can be recorded without necessitating the erase operation. |
