PURPOSE:To execute a magnetic recording and a head cleaning with one floppy disk by providing a head cleaning track between the tracks for magnetic recording of the floppy disk. CONSTITUTION:Between (n+1)-th and n-th tracks 3n+1 and 3n for magnetic recording, an (n+1)-th head cleaning track 4n+1 is arranged and between n-th and (n-1)-th tracks 3n and 3n-1 for magnetic recording, an n-th head cleaning track 4n is arranged. At the time of usual data recording, with a 48TPI (track/ inch) pitch, a head is moved to the track for magnetic recording and loaded and data writing and reading are executed. At the time of erroneous data writing and reading by the dirt of the head, the head is moved to the head cleaning track with a pitch half of the usual pitch, namely 96TPI pitch. After the head is loaded and cleaned, the head is moved with the 96TPI pitch and the control of the data writing or reading is executed. Thus, with the same floppy disk, the data recording and the head cleaning are executed. |
