<p>PURPOSE:To enable an accurate assembling work to be carried out in a short time, by picking up the images of the reference positions of a pair of respective assembiing surfaces by two cameras arranged on the same axis between the opposing spaces of two parts so as to give a position correcting command to the part-supporting member on one side. CONSTITUTION:Two CCD cameras 17, 18 are arranged to face in the opposite directions back to back each other in the same axis between the opposing spaces of two parts such as an engine 5 and a transmission M. At a first image pickup point P1, the images of bolt holes B1, B11 for the engine E and the trans mission M are picked up as the first assembling reference positions, and the images are analytically processed to give a prescribed position correction com mand. In the same way, at a second image pickup point P2, the images are processed to determine the assembling positions of the engine 6 and the transmis sion M. Compared with the conventional trial-and-error positioning process, a highly accurate assembling work can be enabled in a short time.</p> |
