PURPOSE:To perform more than two times of explosion per rotation of each cylinder case and aim at improvement in engine output by specifying each setup of plural cylinder, a suction port and an exhaust port or the like, in case of a cylinder case rotary type reciprocating engine. CONSTITUTION:Each cylinder case 2 is supported on a body case 1 freely rotatably, while in each cylinder case 2, there are provided with two cylinders 3a and 3b radially to a rotation axial center P1. With rotation of each cylinder case 2, respective suction and exhaust ports 6a and 6b installed at each of these cylinders 3a and 3b are successively interconnected to an exhaust port (unillustrated herein), a suction port 8 and a fuel injection nozzle 9 or an ignition port formed on a sliding contact surface at the side of the body case 1 as separating the specified rotational phase. Respective pistons 4a and 4b installed in these cylinders 3a and 3b are guided in movement with an inner circumferential surface of the cam plate 5 installed at the side of the body case 1. With this constitution, more than two explosions are generated per rotation of the cylinder case 2.
