PURPOSE:To make it possible to form an outlet of eight electrodes and eight cores to an unit module by providing a connection mechanism in the terminal portion of the socket which connects cable conductors to information plugs only by inserting and portions of the said cable conductors into an insertion aperture provided on the casing of the socket. CONSTITUTION:An insertion aperture 2b for information plugs is provided on the surface of a casing consisting of a body 1 and a cover 2, and eight pieces of knife edge spring 31 to be connected electrically to the conductors of the inserted plugs respectively are provided too. And in the body 1 eight pieces of terminal enclosure 8 consisting of a terminal plate 5 and a lock spring 6 are provided, and the springs 31 are connected to the corresponding terminal plates 5 respectively through lead wires 32. On the other hand, on the bottom surface of the body 1 an insertion aperture 13 is provided, and the end portions of the cable conductors inserted in the said aperture 13 are holded by the terminal plates 5 and the springs 6. Thus by constructing the connection mechanism connected only by insertion of the cable conductors a socket of eight electrodes and eight cores can be formed to an unit module.
