PURPOSE:To fix a good toner image on a toner carrier constituted of plural plies by integrally providing depositing members having heat resistance and elasticity within a prescribed hardness difference to a pressing roll and heating roll. CONSTITUTION:The heat resistance elastic material layers 12, 22 having the hardness difference within 15 deg. are integrally formed on the outside of mandrels 11, 21 of the pressing roll 1 and the heating roll 2. The pressing roll 1 and the heating roll 2 are so constituted that the contact pressure between the respective rolls is >=1.2kg/cm linear pressure, the surface hardness is <=80 deg. and the difference in the outside diameter is within 5mm. Pressurized contact parts 3 are approximately flattened so that no bending effect is imparted on the carrier of the toner image even if said carrier passes the contact parts; in addition, the vertical moving speed of the carrier is approximately uniformized and the normal toner image having good image quality is fixed without wrinkling even the carrier of plural plies like an envelope.
