PURPOSE:To prevent the blowing-up or inadvertent reduction of the number of revolution by fixing the feedback correction value at the value at the time point in the reduction of atmospheric pressure, when the demanded air quantity of an engine exceeds an adjustment limit air quantity in idling, within the range of exceeding. CONSTITUTION:When the idle revolution speed is controlled to an aimed value by adjusting the intake air quantity by an idle revolution speed controller, the aimed intake air quantity is set by an aimed air quantity setting means 35 on the basis of the feedback correction value. An air quantity adjusting means 17 is controlled by an air quantity control means 36 so that the intake air quantity of an engine 1 becomes equal to the aimed intake air quantity by the aimed air quantity setting means 35. When the aimed air quantity exceeds the adjustment limit air quantity of the air quantity adjusting means 17, the feedback correction quantity is fixed at the value at this time by a feedback correction value fixing means 37, and subsequently, the correction value is maintained within a range of the adjustment limit air quantity.
