PURPOSE:To enable multicolor printing to be performed with a single set of printing press and registering device, by disposing plural sets of blanket and form rollers oppositely to the same sliding part, or providing sliding parts on the inner side and the outer side, and providing one of the sliding parts with a difference in height. CONSTITUTION:A glass substrate 52 fed by a conveyor 51 is fixed at the center on a fixing device 54, form rollers 55 for a black matrix are continuedly rotated to knead an ink, and are reciprocated on outer rails to apply the ink to a machine plate 58. Thereafter, a blanket cylinder 59 is reciprocated along the rails in a body with the form rollers 5 to transfer a pattern from the plate 58 to the glass substrate 52 and, simultaneously, transfer register marks to the substrate 52, followed by hardening the ink by an ink-hardening device 60. Next, the glass substrate 52 is fixed on the fixing device 54 so that register mark positions on a machine plate 61 for red picture elements are brought into register with the register marks for printing the black matrix, and reciprocation is conducted along inner rails having a difference in height, in the same manner as above, thereby completing printing of the red picture elements. Subsequently, green and blue picture elements are printed in the same manner as above.
