PURPOSE:To improve safety, and to save power by self-biassing a standby- switch-transistor and normally bringing the transistor to an ON state. CONSTITUTION:When a 'low' signal is input from a power ON/OFF signal input terminal 12, a standby-switch-drive-transistor 10 is turned ON, a light- emitting diode D1 for a photocoupler 9 is turned OFF, a phototransistor Tr is also turned OFF, and a standby switch-transistor 6 is brought to an ON state by self-bias. A standby-switchtransistor 5 is turned ON, and the base currents of a switching-transistor 2 are bypassed and oscillation is stopped, thus resulting in a standby state.
