<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in gas barrier property and suitable for a vessel excellent in preservation of food and retentivity of flavor and perfume, by adding an NH2 group-terminated thermoplastic polyamide as an acetaldehyde concentration lowering agent to a specified thermoplastic polyester. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polyester (A), as a gas barrier polyester, containing a terephthalic acid component and an isophthalic acid component at a molar ratio of 95/5-5/95 in the polymer chain and containing an ethylene glycol component and a bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)benzene component at a molar ratio of 99.999/0.001-2.0/98.0 is mixed with 3X10<-7> 10.0wt.% (based on component A) thermoplastic polyamide (B) of a terminal NH2 group concentration of 0.05-50mmol./100g of the resin, as an agent for lowering the concentration of acetaldehyde generated by the heat decomposition of component A and the resulting mixture is melt-kneaded.</p> |
