PURPOSE:To measure the energy spectrum (MIKES) of the sample component by feeding a trigger pulse to an exciting power supply and an electric field source when the detection current value of an ion current monitor circuit exceeds the specified preset value. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring electrode 16 is provided between a magnetic field 2 and an electric field 4, an ion current monitoring circuit 18 detecting the ion current value flowing in the electrode 16 is provided, and a generating circuit 20 feeding a trigger pulse to an exciting power supply 22 and an electric field power supply 24 when the detection current value of the circuit 18 exceeds the specified value is provided. The power supply 22 is set to a hold state on receiving a trigger pulse, the hold state is released after the scanning of the power supply 24 in the zero direction is completed, the power supply 24 performs the scanning in the zero direction on receiving a trigger pulse then returns to the preset electric field strength again. MIKES can be thereby measured simply. |
