PURPOSE:To obtain a woodlike molded body possessing depth, warmth, soft feeling and feeling of a wood grain and superior in mechanical strength and processability in molding, by constituting the title molded body so that after a molding material A which is obtained by compounding a vegetable fiber powder with vinyl chloride resin is inserted into a molding tool beforehand, then other molten molding material B is cast into the same for a monolithic molded body and the surface layer of the monolithic molded body constitutes the molding material A. CONSTITUTION:The title molded body is constituted so that after insertion of a primary molded body 5 composed of a molding material A obtained by compounding 10-400 pts. wt. vegetable fiber powder with 100 pts. wt. vinyl chloride resin into a molding tool, other molten molding material B is cast or ejected or inserted into the said molding tool 6 for a monolithic molded body, and the surface layer part of the same is composed of the molding material A. The vegetable fiber powder is such as a pulverized matter of a material containing a needle-leaved tree, a broad-leaved tree, bark and other vegetation, and a mean particle diameter of the same is preferably 700-60mum. Then it is preferable that the surface layer part of the primary molded body is ground to a depth of about 0.005-2.0 mm and decorated with a dappled pattern such as a grain pattern or a leather pattern. Molding material composed of publicly known thermoplastic resin and thermosetting resin is used for the molding material B.
