PURPOSE:To hold side dam blocks so as not to incline and to always surely enable the blocks to be close contacted side by side by providing construction having two point supports by each two pins and guide roller arranged to each block in each side dam block. CONSTITUTION:One pair of shifting type side dams 9 held by one pair of water cooled belts 3 at cast slab side, is formed by alternately linking many side dam block 9a having each guide roller 9d and many aide dam blocks 9b having each slender hole 9e. The side dam block 9b is respectively connected with a pin 9c for the adjacent side dam block 9a at one end thereof and connected with the pin 9c for the other adjacent side dam block 9a at the other end thereof, and has the slender hole 9e having the prescribed gap to the linking direction. By this method, the link chain state blocks 9a, 9b are guided on one pair of fixed guide beam 10 by guide rollers 9d while connecting the blocks side by side. Therefore, even if an outer force enforcing the block to incline is worked, as the block is supported at the two points, the outer force is canceled and the inclination is prevented. |
