<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ink composition which can give a printed image of excellent quality and can allow stable ink injection for a long time, by dissolving a dye in a mixed solvent comprising a good solvent in which the dye can dissolve in a specified % or above and a poor solvent in which the dye can dissolve in a specified % or below so that the concentration of the dye in the obtained solution may be in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recording oil-based ink composition prepared by dissolving a dye in a mixed solvent comprising a good solvent and a poor solvent, wheerin (A) a solvent in which the dye can dissolve in a concentration of 4wt.% or above is used as said good solvent, (B) a solvent in which the dye can dissolve in a concentration of 0.5wt.% or below is used as said poor solvent, and (C) the (a)/(b) ratio (wherein (a) is the solubility (wt.%) of the dye in said mixed solvent, and (b) is the concentration (wt.%) of the dye in the ink composition in said mixed solvent may be in the range of 1.0-3.0. When printing is performed with this ink composition, a printed image of excellent quality can be obtained, and remarkably stable ink injection can be performed for a long time.</p> |
