NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [X and Y represent bond or (lower alkyl substituted)alkylene, and carbon number of both X and Y together is 1-3; m is 0-2; R<5> represents H or lower alkyl; R<1>-R<3> represent H, halogen atom, lower alkyl(thio), trifluoromethyl, cyano, nitro, etc.; R<4> represent H, lower alkyl, (di)aralkyl, substituted phenyl, etc.] or acid addition salt thereof. EXAMPLE:9-Amino-8-fluoro-3-thia-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridine. USE:Useful as a remedy for presbyophrenia, which has acetylcholinesterase inhibitory action. PREPARATION:A 2-aminobenzonitrile derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with a cycloalkanone derivative expressed by formula III.
