PURPOSE:To suppress the variation of nipping pressure as far as possible, by placing a roller on one of two endless belts at a position separated from fiber- nipping point and energizing the endless belt along the direction of the other endless belt by the roller. CONSTITUTION:Pulleys 26, 27, 28, 29 are rotatably pivoted on fixed frames protruded from a machine frame. Endless belts 24, 25 are extended across the pulleys placing a small gap between the belts. An energizing roller device 34 is placed between the pulleys 26 and 28 in such a manner that the belt 24 is bent and shifted toward the other 25 when the roller 37 is energized in the direction of the arrow by a pneumatic cylinder 38. The contacting position T of the roller 37 and the belt is selected to be separated from the crossing position N (nip position) between the belts.
