发明名称 PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING COAGULATED PARTICLE FROM POLYMER LATEX
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title spherical particles of a desired size continuously by preventing the formation of agglomerates, by adding a coagulant to a specified downwardly flowing polymer latex and growing a coagulation layer around its external surface. CONSTITUTION:A tank 1 is charged with a polymer latex (e.g., a butadiene polymer latex comprising 0-50wt.% styrene and 50-100wt.% butadiene), and a swirl is generated in this latex by rotating an impeller 3 driven by an agitator driving motor 2. On the other hand, a polymer latex for forming a liquid film is sent through a feed line 13 and a pass for forming a downwardly flowing liquid film 4 and allowed to flow downwardly from the end of the pass 4 to form a downwardly flowing liquid film 5. A coagulant fed from a coagulant tank 8 through a coagulant addition pump 7 and a spray nozzle 6 is added to the downwardly flowing liquid 5 and allowed to scatter in the tank 1 to grow a coagulation layer around its external surface; the coagulated particles and the polymer latex on the bottom of the tank are discharged from the tank through a line 9 and passed to a solid/liquid separator such an a vibrating screen 10; the formed coagulated particles are withdrawn from a line 11; and the polymer latex is recycled through a feed pump 12 for a latex for forming a liquid film.
