PURPOSE:To offset the effect of remaining water in a reaction tube, by measuring absorbance when a colored first reagent is separately injected, obtaining a dilution ratio factor, and introducing a concentration computing expression. CONSTITUTION:Reagent Planck is measured in a detecting system 5, and an absorbance a1RB is obtained and inputted into a memory 13. A standard sample is measured in a detecting system 7, and an absorbance a1STD is obtained. An amount of remaining water in a reaction tube gammaVSTD is obtained by using an expression III in an operating part 12 and inputted in the memory 13. Then, a general sample is measured, and an absorbance a1SAM is obtained. gammaVSAM is obtained by using an expression IV in the processing part 12. Then, a dilution ratio factor (k) is used by using an expression II. The effect of the amount of the remaining water in the reacting tube is corrected by using an expression I based on the factor (k) and a concentration C, which is measured by a conventional method. Thus the corrected concentration Ccor is obtained. In this way the effect of the remaining water in the reacting tube is offset.
