PURPOSE:To manufacture continuously a flexible composite pipe superior in bending characteristics for its pressure-resistant strength, by a method wherein a spiral reinforcing body is formed by winding up spirally a corrugated sheet obtained by molding a corrugated form in a longitudinal direction of a hoop material made of a metallic thin plate and an inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the reinforcing body are coated with a synthetic resin material. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated sheet 2A is sent into a shape forming roll group 4 in order and the foregoing corrugated sheet 2A is wound up spirally by forming a predetermined twisting angle on the same along with forming of a shape in a winding-up way in a state of a circular arc. Then the corrugated sheets 2A, 2A are conveyed, guided so that crest parts 2a, 2a of the corrugated sheets 2A, 2A are superposed piece by piece at the inside and outside upon each other and sent out as a spiral reinforcing body 2, on the inside of a guide device 5. Then synthetic materials 1A, 1B are extruded into a platelike state through dies 6A, 6B arranged on the inside and the outside of the spiral reinforcing body 2, which are wound up round the inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the reinforcing body 2 for coating through pressing rolls 7A, 7B under a state where adjoining side fringe parts are superposed upon and welded to each other in order. Then a pipe wall 1 lined with synthetic resin is formed by performing heat welding of the superposed side fringe parts respectively.
