PURPOSE:To give a bright color having a sharpe visible absorbing spectrum by providing with a layer contg. a specified pyrazoloazole type coupler on a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The layer contg. the pyrazoloazole type coupler shown by formula I is mounted on the supporting body, and the silver halide photographic sensitive material is developed with a developer contg. an aromatic primary amine developing agent in the presence of a coupler. In the formula, R1 is hydrogen atom. or a substituent group, X is hydrogen atom. or a group capable of releasing by effecting a coupling reaction with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine developing agent, Za, Zb and Zc are each =CH-, =N- or -NH- group, etc., one of the bondings of Za-Zb and Zb-Zc is a double bond, another of them is a single bond. Thus, the maximal absorbing wavelength of an image forming dye is large and shifts to a deep color side, and the absorption of the color becomes sharpe, thereby making the color to sharpe, and the molar extinction coefficient of the color becomes remarkably large.
