PURPOSE:To automatically prepare a document for test printing, by storing inputted document data in a memory means and converting all of the character and mark codes in the stored document data to a predetermined symbol pattern to issue the same as printing output by an output means. CONSTITUTION:The printing data and control order from a host computer 15 are taken in a CPU 2 through an interface circuit to be successively stored in a page buffer 4. The CPU 2 performs the indication for developing a character code on a pattern generating control circuit 5 in a font pattern and the indication of the start address of the printing data of the page buffer 4. By this method, the pattern generating control circuit 5 successively reads the character code from the printing start address of the page buffer 4 and reads the font pattern corresponding to said code from a font memory 7 to successively develop the pattern on a frame memory 6. When the development of the printing data corresponding to one page on the frame memory 6 as the font pattern is finished, printing output is performed in a printer part 14. |
