PURPOSE:To obtain a secondary battery which is capable of operating at the normal temperature, lightweight, and has high power, high capacity, and long charge-discharge cycle life by using a molten salt, which is liquid at the normal temperature, obtained by mixing aluminum chloride and butyl pyridinium halide as electrolyte, aluminum as main negative active material, and a conductive polymer as main positive active material. CONSTITUTION:A molten salt, which is liquid at the normal temperature, obtained by mixing aluminum chloride and butyl pyridinium halide is used as electrolyte, aluminum as main negative active material, and a conductive polymer as main positive active material to form a secondary battery. The molten salt, which is liquid at the normal temperature, used as the electrolyte has high conductivity, and high ion concentration. This secondary battery thereby has large output current and large capacity. The secondary battery capable of operating at the normal temperature is low cost, lightweight, and has low self discharge rate, high voltage, and long charge-discharge cycle life. |
