PURPOSE:To reduce the number of components and cost of the titled camera, by detecting that an appropriate aperture is set at the time of flash-photographing in accordance with the changing quantity in the light quantity from the photometric value when a shutter is fully opened and emitting flash light. CONSTITUTION:The photometric valve BV0 of a photometric means PD when the aperture quantity of an auxiliary diaphragm 2x corresponds to the aperture quantity when a shutter is fully opened is stored. An appropriate diaphragm value at the time of flash-photographing is found from the outputs of a distance setting means MD and film sensitivity setting means ISO and the guide number of a flash light emitting means. The changing quantity DELTABV in the light quantity corresponding to the diaphragm step difference from an opened diaphragm value to the appropriate diaphragm value is calculated. By using the photometric value BV0 stored by the storing means and the changing quantity DELTABV in light quantity calculated by a calculating means CPU, it is detected that the light quantity BV which satisfies a relation, BV0-BV-DELTABV=0 is set and the flash light emitting means is caused to emit light. Therefore, an appropriate aperture value can be detected without using any separate members. |
