PURPOSE:To enable quick processing of a silver halide photographic sensitive material and to elevate the level of the maximum density by incorporating silver halide particles and a specified coupler into a silver halide emulsion layer, and using at the same time a specified color developing soln. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide photographic sensitive material constituted of a silver halide emulsion layer on a base is developed with color developing soln. contg. a p-phenylenediamine type color developing agent. In this case, silver halide particles of >=95mol.% Ag content and a coupler expressed by formula I are contained in the silver halide emulsion layer, and a compd. expressed by formula II, having <=-2 log P value is contained in the color developing soln. In formulas, Cp is a coupler residue; B is a ballast group; Z is an H atom. or a group which can be eliminated by the reaction with an oxidized body of a p-phenylenediamine type developing agent; R<12> is an H atom. or a hydroxyl group; each R<13> and R<14> is an H atom. or an alkyl group, respectively. By this constitution, quick processing of a silver halide photographic sensitive material is possible and high maximum density and high max. sensitivity are obtd. |
