PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance, corrosion resistance and heat resistance of a build-up metal by containing the specific wt.% of Ni, Ti, B and Si and constituting the balance by Cu and the inevitable impurities. CONSTITUTION:In components of a copper alloy for build-up, 1-50 wt.% Ni, 0.05-2% Ti, 0.5-5% B, 0.1-5% Si are contained and the balance is constituted by Cu component and the inevitable impurities. The Ni component improves the corrosion resistance and the heat resistance by forming Cu-Ni radial together with the Cu component. The Ti component strengthens Cu matrix by entering into the Cu matrix and also by precipitating hard compound of Ti-B, Ti-Si, etc., and Ti grain, metallurgical structure is strengthened and hardened. The Si develops low melting point eutectic crystal of B-Si together with the B, to improve build-up property. By this method, the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and heat resistance of the build-up metal are improved.
