Sheet material and hollow or tubular articles, for use as pipes, concrete moulds, etc. are made from reinforced thermosetting resin, are made by impregnating a layer of reinforcing fibres or yarns with a catalyst on one face and a resin with accelerator on the other face. The layer is then compressed with heating to form a film, and a series of such films superimposed with an intermediate layer of resin plus accelerator. After hot compression, which catalyses the resin, the article is moulded to shape giving flexible and strong prods. resistant to moisture.
