PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic suitable for hair, skin and oral cavity, having excellent growth promoting action on hair and cell activating action on skin and mucosa, containing a reaction product obtained by treating an n-paraffin with a yeast fungus capable of producing fats and oils. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic comprising a reaction product obtained by treating an n-paraffin containing preferably 5-21C odd-numbered carbon chain length paraffin with a yeast fungus belonging to the genus Sacchromyces, Endomyces, Lipomyces, Rhodotorula or Candida, capable of producing fats and oils by cultivating the yeast fungus in a medium containing the n-paraffin, preferably comprising (a) a culture mixture, (b) a reaction mixture or (c) a fatty acid derivative mixture prepared by separating the cell from the solution thereof. The cosmetic having the above-mentioned effects contains 1-20wt.% based on the final cosmetic of the culture mixture or the reaction mixture in the case of the component (a) or (b) and 0.01-10wt.% fatty acid derivative mixture in the case of the component (c). |
