PURPOSE:To enhance measuring accuracy of humidity, by containing a gas including moisture in a container, compressing the gas, detecting the temperature and the pressure of the gas including the moisture in the container, with detectors, and detecting dew condensation in the container with a dew condensation detector. CONSTITUTION:A gas including moisture, whose humidity is to be measured, is introduced into a container 1. The gas is compressed by the change in volume of the container 1. When dew condensation starts to yield by the compression, the dew condensation is immediately detected with a dew condensation detector 4, which is provided in the container 1. A temperature tS and a pressure PS of the compressed gas at this time are detected with a temperature detector 2 and a pressure detector 3, which are provided in the container 1. A relative humidity U is obtained by the expressions in a two-pressure method and a two-temperature method based on a gas temperature tt and a pressure Pt before the compression, which are measured beforehand, and the temperature tS and the pressure PS of the compressed gas. Thus, the measuring accuracy of the humidity is enhanced.
