PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a drum by providing internal supports for reinforcement to the position of the drum opposite to the parts to be pressed. CONSTITUTION:The internal supports 2 for reinforcement are provided to the position of the drum 1 opposite to the parts to be pressed such as development spacing collars 12, a stripping belt 14, etc. Aluminum is preferably used as the material of the drum 1 in view of surface smoothness and the ease of the temp. control of the supports during formation of an a-Si film. On the other hand, aluminum, stainless steel, etc., are exemplified as the internal supports 2 for reinforcement; stainless steel having the coefft. of thermal expansion smaller than the coefft. of thermal expansion of the drum 1 and having high mechanical strength is more preferable. The deformation of the supports occurring in the pressing effect of the pressing part of the drum is thereby prevented. |
