PURPOSE:To increase the penetration amount of a corrosion inhibitor to the whole of a crevice part, by transferring a warm zero output state to a heat output load state to inject the corrosion inhibitor and subsequently returning heat output to zero output before raising said zero output to rated output. CONSTITUTION:The container of a nuclear reactor and the steam generator communicating with the container of the nuclear reactor through a cooling material recirculation piping are provided. A corrosion inhibitor is injected in the water supplied to the steam generator on the body side thereof. In starting this pressurized water reactor, a warm zero output state is transferred to a heat output load state to inject the corrosion inhibitor and, thereafter,heat output is returned to zero output. Then, the zero output is raised to rated output. Whereupon, since the proper boiling convection of the supplied water in a crevis part is kept the penetration of the corrosion inhibitor in the crevis part becomes faster as and its amount increases as compared with the concn. diffusion dominating field under zero output.
